David Warlick's Keynote K12online 2006

Geography -

One thing that struck me that I haven't even been thinking about is this concept of geography is changing. This sounds silly because how many times have we heard Mr. Warlick say that there is a new "landscape" for learning.... and now with his story about the university students in Poland do I start to get it. Access to the Internet has changed our very concept of geography; it becomes almost an idea like time. It has a construct but all the miles melt away when you are on the web communicating synchronously and asynchronously. I guess this too is changing our concept of time and how we use it.
